Rejoice — You Can Now Organize Your Posts with Tags!

Until now, organizing your content on Patreon has been a pain point, and your patrons have had to hunt for specific posts in a fury of infinite scrolling. This is no way to share and consume content.

We’ve been listening to all your great feedback and we’ve found a way to help you and your patrons organize and surface posts that might otherwise be buried.

Introducing… Post Tags! 🎉

With post tags, you can now add up to five customizable tags to each of your new or existing posts on the web or in the Patreon app (available on ios and Android).

Tags can be anything you want them to be (even emojis 😊), so consider what sort of things or categories tend to recur in your work and what your patrons might be looking for when they’re viewing your page.

When a patron is viewing the Posts section of your page, they’ll see a Filter section on the left-hand side that’ll list all of the tags you’ve created.

If they click one of the tags, the page will show all of the posts containing that tag. By default, patrons will additionally be able to filter your posts by type (public, patron-only, specific pledge amount,) or by the date it was published. They can click a tag straight from within one of your posts and see all posts with that tag.

We hope that post tagging makes it easier than ever for you to organize your posts and your patrons to find exactly what they’re looking for.
