Introducing Lens on Web

After launching Lens just last month, we’ve already seen creators share tons of incredible content with their patrons. Today, we’re making it even easier for patrons to go behind the scenes with the launch of Lens on web!

To view Lens on web, go to a creator’s page that has posted to Lens in the last 24 hours. You’ll find Lens at the top of the Posts Tab (as shown below, on Fran Meneses’ page). You’ll also see Lens and Posts available in the Overview section.

Click on the play button to bring up the creator’s Lens clip. The clips play in a series just like they do on mobile, and you can skip back and forth between them by clicking the left and right arrows on either side. The clips will expire on the creator’s page 24 hours after they are posted.

If you’re not a patron, patron-only Lens clips show up as a blurred post. Fans are able to unlock the content by becoming a patron.

Patrons and followers that don’t receive push notifications through the Patreon mobile app now have the option to get Lens updates sent to their email. These are enabled by default, but can be turned off in settings.

We hope bringing Lens to web makes it easier for patrons to access behind the scenes content from creators. We’re excited to continue improving Lens and building better tools for creators to grow and monetize their creative businesses.
