A conversation I have a few times a week; I’m sure you can relate to our fictitious friend, Lauren:
Hi there! I’m Lauren and I’m a visual artist here on Patreon. I noticed that you have an “Explore” section on Patreon that you update regularly with new creators, and I would LOVE to see my art there. What can I do to see my name up on the marquee, so to speak? 🙂
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the note, all you Lauren’s of the world.
Before I hit you with the magic way to get your content featured on Patreon, I need to get something off my chest, in the spirit of full transparency.
We know this is currently not one of our strengths and more importantly, not at all where we want it to be. I can say truthfully that our team talks a lot about this within Patreon’s walls; we cannot wait to move towards something better. We’ve been putting almost all of our efforts into making sure our platform works, payments perform well, and that creators can craft a page they are proud to send to fans. I want you to be discovered, because your work is awesome and special and unique. I want you to gain patrons on Patreon because our product does a stellar job of putting your content in front of others. We will do better, I promise.
